Sometimes I want to knit something super complicated…stretch my limits…try new techniques.

This hat was not one of those times.

just pretend that you can’t see the toothpaste smudges on my mirror up there…mkay?  keepin’ it real here in the burbs…

I started this hat because I had some leftover yarn from the 5th Avenue Cowl (read: nearly an entire skein) and Malabrigo is WAY to nice to just let sit there…so enter the Knit Night Hat.

The hat is a very quick and easy knit.  Almost completely stockinette stitch that requires almost no concentration.  And what makes it even better?  Because it’s knit in the round…it’s just knit knit knit knit all the way home.

I love the slouchy-ness of this hat…super fun.  I also LOVE the detail on the cast on edge…so simple and so effective design-wise.

Bottom line.  Great yarn + great pattern = amazing finished product.  Even better was that the pattern was free and the yarn was “leftovers.”

The End.

More info about the little details of the hat can be found {here} on my ravelry page.
