This project is a lot of firsts for me.  First finished KAL project.  First project with beads.  First project with madelinetosh Tosh Merino Light…aka tosh TML. {LOVE!!!!}

I loved knitting each and every bit of this shawl.  It was SO much fun to get the parts every week and to watch it appear before my eyes.  I loved the beading, and although it was extremely tedious, it is SO pretty, and I’d definitely do beading again in the future.

The thing that disappointed me the most about this project is that is is smaller than I was hoping for.

I wanted it to be longer so I could wrap it around my neck.  It’s going to need a shawl/scarf pin for that.  But…the pattern itself is amazingly easy to understand, and written very well.

Eventually…I’ll be able to wear it like that, and hopefully when it’s secured with the pin it will work so much better.

OH…and it’s called the Hurricane shawl because my son’s football team is the Hurricanes, and I picked this color green because I thought it would be fun to have a green scarf/shawl to wear to their games!
